Articles published in Detritus Journal are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License specified on the paper (e.g., CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Users may read, download, print, and share articles for non-commercial and educational purposes with proper attribution. - Social media & academic promotion
By submitting and publishing a paper with Detritus Journal, authors grant the Publisher the right to promote, summarize, highlight, or feature extracts, visuals, and key findings of the publication on the Journal’s official social media platforms (including, but not limited to, LinkedIn), ensuring full credit and attribution are given to the original authors. - Commercial use
Commercial reproduction, distribution, or sale of any content without prior written consent from the Publisher is strictly prohibited.
2. Publication fees and institutional Open Access Agreements (APC)
Detritus Journal operates under an Open Access publishing model supported by Institutional Partners to guarantee global reach and visibility for scientific research.
- Standard Article Processing Charge (APC)
Authors whose institutions do not hold an active institutional agreement with us are required to pay a processing fee of €500 (EUR) per accepted paper upon publication. - Institutional Agreements & APC Waivers
Authors affiliated with Universities and Research Institutions that have signed the “Detritus Institutional Open Access Agreement” (listed on our Founding Institutions page) are entitled to a full APC waiver and may publish their articles at no additional cost. - Verification & Editorial Independence
Authors must declare their institutional affiliation during manuscript submission to confirm eligibility for the APC Waiver Programme. APC payments or waiver eligibilities have no bearing on editorial decisions or peer-review evaluations.
3. Permitted and prohibited uses
You agree to use this website only for lawful, personal, academic, or professional research purposes.
You MUST NOT:
- Use automated systems, bots, spiders, or web-scraping software to extract data or bulk-download articles without express written authorization.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) data mining: use any text, data, or content from this website to train, fine-tune, develop, or improve artificial intelligence algorithms, large language models (LLMs), or machine learning tools without explicit written permission from the Publisher.
- Interfere with or disrupt the security, performance, or availability of the website or its underlying infrastructure.
