APC AND APC WAIWERS
To support the editorial and production processes, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of €500 + VAT (where applicable) is applied to accepted manuscripts.
Authors affiliated with institutions that have signed a Detritus Institutional Open Access Agreement are eligible for a full APC waiver, allowing them to publish an unlimited number of articles in Detritus at no additional cost.
Please contact your Library or Research Office to verify whether your institution is covered by an active Institutional Open Access Agreement, or check the list of our partner institutions here.
The payment of an APC, or eligibility for an APC waiver, has no influence whatsoever on the editorial evaluation, peer-review process, or acceptance of manuscripts. All submissions are assessed exclusively on the basis of their scientific quality and originality.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Before submitting your manuscript, please carefully read the Guide for Authors and ensure that your article complies with all submission requirements.
IN PARTICULAR, PLEASE NOTE THAT:
- Articles must be typed and edited strictly in accordance with our template. Download the “Article Template” DOC
- The total number of figures should not exceed 8, unless motivated by a written request
- Figures must be uploaded separately and should be presented in high resolution, in JPG or TIFF format (with a 300 DPI/inch resolution in the established format), EPS or PDF
- Tables must not be higher than 3. The size of Tables should not exceed one A4 page (font Arial 10,5 pt). The costs for additional items will be = 100 € / Table
- In the Reference section: DOI must be cited in a completed linked format (e.g. https://doi.org/10. xxxxxxxxx). This would allow consult the given papers more easily. Please write the DOI at the beginning of each row in order to read the link in the pdf file correctly
