The journal so far has been Open Access and run as a no-profit venture being DOUBLE FREE: free for readers and free for authors with the aim of promoting the transfer of scientific knowledge without any economic constraints.
However, after 5 years of self-funded strategies undertaken to guarantee journal operations, we now need to cover at least the basic production costs (Submission platform, Editorial office management, Manuscript formatting and layout design, Proofing, On-line publication platform, etc.).
Therefore, from the issue 24 (September 2023) yearly subscription rates will be applied according to the different tiers reported here.
Detritus will continue to be completely free for authors who intend to submit and publish a paper.
Authors wishing to publish their paper as Open Access will be charged an Article Processing Charge (APC) of € 500 + VAT 22%. Please contact the editorial office at editorialoffice@detritusjournal.it
Please note that all the papers currently under the peer review process or submitted by 30 June 2023 will be managed according to the previous Double free model.
