For 5 years since its birth, the journal has been Open Access and has been managed as a no-profit venture being DOUBLE FREE: free for readers and free for authors with the aim of promoting the transfer of scientific knowledge without any economic constraints.
After a long time of self-funded strategies undertaken to guarantee journal operations, we have been forced to turn from Open Access into a classic format, to raise the financial resources to cover at least the basic production costs (Submission platform, Editorial office management, Manuscript formatting and layout design, On-line publication platform, etc.).
DETRITUS FOR READERS
From the end of June 2023 yearly subscription rates are applied, according to the different tiers reported here.
In line with the philosophy of the journal, Detritus grants, to Universities and Libraries only, the opportunity to subscribe for a very low fare (700 € + VAT) giving access for an unlimited number of members from the same institution. Read more

DETRITUS FOR AUTHORS
Detritus continue to be completely free for authors who intend to submit and publish a paper, with the aim of promoting the transfer of scientific knowledge without any economic constraints.
Anyhow, the journal gives authors the possibility to publish their research in Open Acces: articles will be immediately and permanently freely available to both subscribers and the wider public with permitted reuse.
Authors wishing to publish their paper in Open Access will be charged an Article Processing Charge (APC) of € 500 + VAT 22%.
