Jianguo LIU has been working in the School of Environment, Tsinghua University since 2001 after he obtained PhD there, except that he did his post-doctoral research in INSA de Lyon, France from March 2004 to March 2005.
He is now a tenured professor in the School of Environment, Tsinghua University, and vice director of the Key Laboratory for Solid Waste Management and Environment Safety, Ministry of Education of China. His research fields include sustainable landfilling and anaerobic digestion of MSW, waste to secondary building materials, reactive solidification/stabilization of hazardous waste and contaminated soil, and leaching-based environmental assessment of beneficial reutilization of solid waste.
He is the author of about 100 scientific papers and the leading scientist for a few key R&D projects in solid waste treatment and valorisation.
He is a member of IWWG, as well as senior member of several national academic associations for solid waste management in China.
