Sven Andersson

Sven Andersson is Manager for Research & Development at Babcock & Wilcox Vølund AB in Sweden, previously Götaverken Miljö AB, where he has been working since he earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering Design in 1998. Sven Andersson also has a position as Adjunct Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology.
Sven Andersson has been responsible for the scale up and commercialization of a number of processes, from pilot scale experiments to the first full-scale installations, including the MercOx process for mercury removal and Adiox for removing dioxins from gases. ADIOX has been installed at more than 120 incineration lines worldwide. Other technologies are Sulfur Recirculation for high temperature corrosion and dioxin abatement, CUTNOX for NOx removal and Zn recovery from WtE fly ash.
