Dieter Gerten

Dieter Gerten is research group leader and coordinator for Earth Modelling at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) as well as Professor for Global Change Climatology & Hydrology at the Humboldt University of Berlin.
His research is focused on climate change impacts upon ecosystems and freshwater resources, human interactions with the biosphere, global water resources assessments, and planetary boundaries.
He (co)authored about 120 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters – including contributions to the latest IPCC Assessment Report – and has published several books.
