Alberto Pivato

Alberto Pivato was a researcher at the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padova, Italy. His main fields of interest included ecotoxicology, waste management, environmental impact assessment, risk analysis, and the remediation of contaminated sites. Since 2016, he had shifted his research focus to anaerobic digestion. He was also a member of the Task Group on Waste Biorefinery of the International Waste Working Group (IWWG).
Alberto passed away suddenly at the beginning of 2024, but his ideas and projects continue to live on in this journal.
