Marina Rigillo is Associate professor, PhD in Technology at the Department of Architecture, University of Naples Federico II, Italy, teaching Environmental Design at the Degree Course “Sustainable Development and Territorial Networks”. The specific of her scientific field of study is the ecological design approach, focusing on the topics of climate adaptation and of technologies and processes for improve circularity within the construction sector. Special attention has given to the regeneration of urban soils, both polluted and impervious. Since 2004, she is part of EU-funded projects naming by the few the LIFE-ENVIRONMENT “Ecoremed – Implementation Of Eco-Compatible Protocols For Agricultural Soil Remediation In Litorale Domizio-Agro Aversano Nips”, the Horizon 2020 REPAiR (REsource Management in Peri-urban ARreas: Going Beyond Urban Metabolism) research team, the Horizon 2020 “CLARITY” (“Integrated Climate Adaptation Service Tools for Improving Resilience Measure Efficiency”). Further, she is involved in several National Research such as the Campania Region Funded Project, “PRO-Sit” and the private committed research funded by “Cassa Depositi e Prestiti” on the selected Demolition and short supply chain of a former industrial area in East Naples.
